Shelly Beach is a small suburb on the Central Coast. It is approximately 1.2 square kilometres and is home to less than 600 properties, the majority of which are free-standing homes that are owned outright. Whilst it is quiet, the nearby suburbs of The Entrance, Bateau Bay and Long Jetty provide plenty of amenities, including dining and entertainment options. The larger centres of Gosford, Erina and Tuggerah are just a short drive away. The beach is a well-known surfing spot and the northern side of Shelly Beach is busier because it’s dog friendly – often packed with people and dogs exercising. Housing:
The suburb of Shelly Beach offers only houses and townhouses. If you’re after a Central Coast acreage or apartment style living, Shelly Beach is not the one for you. The top spot in Shelly Beach is Grandview Street, where many of the houses back onto the golf course and sell for above $2M.
Connectivity:
Shelly Beach is a 16 minute drive to both Tuggerah train station and Ourimbah train station, or a 20 minute drive to the M1 motorway which connects to both Sydney and Newcastle.
Public Schools:
Depending on where in Shelly Beach you are located will determine which Primary School you are zoned for, either Bateau Bay Public School or The Entrance Public School. For High School, Shelly Beach is zoned for Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College - Tumbi Umbi Campus (Years 7-10). For Years 11 and 12 this Campus, together with the Berkeley Vale Campus, combine into Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College - The Entrance Campus (Years 11-12).
Private Schools:
There are a number of private schools near Shelly Beach including Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School Shelly Beach (K-6), St John Fisher Tumbi Umbi (K-6) and St Peter's Catholic College Tuggerah (7-12).
